Over the weekend, Terry G made headlines after it was alleged that he slapped a special DJ Phreez at an event after which veteran DJ, Jimmy Jatt publicly requested that the Free madness crooner soft an apology for his unruly behaviour to Phreez who occurred to be a protege of his.The incident occurred on the first edition of ‘D’excellent, D’BASH & D’funny’ a live performance through comedian Hammed Basheer popularly often called Bash at Shell corridor, Muson Centre, Lagos.
A watch witness advised media retailers, “He overstayed his time, and even said if he’s no longer allowed to conclude his efficiency, he’ll rationale crisis. Then the DJ played a different artiste’s song and Terry went over to offer him a horrible slap, smashed the microphone on the stage and left’.
Recounting what rather occurred, DJ Jimmy Jatt who used to be on the venue, mentioned:
I feel it was once a response of an unruly artiste. The DJ has been coordinating the performances without disorders. Terry G wasn’t even billed to participate in. He called the organiser and begged to participate in then they gave him a time period and he used greater than his time. The organisers used their voice-over man to name him from the backstage that his time used to be over and he stated if he hears the voice he’ll motive drawback’.
Then he went on to perform about three more songs. He was messing up and persons have been leaving while he was once performing. The organisers had been shedding crowd they usually went to inform the DJ to stop playing his songs so Terry G can get off the stage.
‘however he didn’t depart the stage – he persisted performing and making song together with his bell and he wasn’t leaving still, so that they went back to the DJ and told him to play one more artiste’s tune, and my boy obliged.
‘all of the sudden, Terry G walked straight to the DJ and gave him the most remarkable of slaps, the boy was once dazed. Then he left the venue right away when you consider that I went again stage right away to try and talk to him. I was pissed and was once going to shut down the performance for the night time but I inspiration of it again for the reason that it wasn’t the organisers fault’.
After a lot controversy, Terry G subsequently issued an apology through his Instagram page today in an attempt to lay it all to leisure. He wrote:
It’s so painful how matters play out this days hearing from just one aspect.Am now not right here to color myself excellent or best.Am only human and have emotions.Looking back to how this experience of my profession began,it’s been one hassle or the opposite.The poor ones fly like wild fire at the same time the positive ones just isn't as wild as the bad reports but all of the identical God has been devoted.
I Terry G will be the last individual to wanna destroy a colleagues occasion intentionally or want to harm anybody.Good or bad i've contributed Negatively or Postively to the Nigerian track industry.
My honest apology to Nigerians number one DJ @djjimmyjatt for you may have been a good leader within the Nigerian leisure enterprise ,I additionally extend my apology to Dj Phreez for my movements it was once as a result of miscommunication and my honest Apology to the DJS organization OF NIGERIA with out you guys,my music shall be a total #nonesense
